Thomson.co.uk details
TUI-UK own many holiday companies, such as; Thomson, Portland, Late Deals and The First Resort. Their New Media department is ever growing and the company's focus on it is quite strong. The work I have done for them, as a Web Designer, ranges from creating onsite and affiliate banners, page layouts, icons and general graphical assets, and developing ideas and techniques to be used in future projects.
Most of my work for TUI-UK is found about their various sites, their main focus being Thomson.co.uk.
Recently I had responsibility over the Thomson affiliate banners, these are banner adverts that are pasted about the internet to get the company a ton of business. It was basically my job to take assets that we had and conjure up a style for the whole campaign and then excute the idea into various banners with differing dimensions. It worked out great and they looked really good. The banners apparently have been the most successful banners that Thomson have put out. Not bad at all! You can see some of those banners above with a couple actually working.
